BBC World Service has commissioned Aurra Studios to produce Women Warriors, a 1-hour documentary to air late Spring 2025.
Women Warriors, already in production, features Victoria Hollingsworth as presenter, with Will Aslett – Producer, Mark Popkiewicz – Exec Producer, and Claire Cottrell – Operations.
At a time of increased global tension, Women Warriors explores the role of women in the military and visits various countries to find out the differences in attitudes and experiences of women on the front line and those around them. The show will source views and opinions from serving combatants as well as a variety of contributors airing a diverse range of views, about how women have served in, and may participate in future conflicts.
Mark Popkiewicz, Exec Producer for Aurra Studios said, ‘we are delighted that commissioner Gwenan Roberts and BBC World Service have decided to give Aurra the commission for Women Warriors. We believe this is a timely and important story and Victoria is the ideal presenter to tell it’.
